  1. What is PENJANA KPT-CAP Program?
    The Government has announced the National Economic Regeneration Plan (PENJANA) as a government initiative in addressing the challenges of graduate marketability and reducing unemployment due to the COVID-19 epidemic, through 3 tracks:

    1. Place and Train: Competency training program targets participants with the skills required by the industry prior to job placement in the industry
    2. Entrepreneurship Training: Target the establishment of start-up companies from graduates. Participants will also be assisted with financial funding
    3. Gig Economy Preparation Training: Competency training program to help participants to generate income through freelancing activities
  2. What are the main objectives of PENJANA KPT-CAP Program?
    To increase the employability of Public Universities, Polytechnics and Community Colleges graduates who graduated from 2019 to 2022 to pursue training programs in order to gain skills and improve skills and have the opportunity to get job placement or income generation after the completion of the training programs followed.
  3. Who can apply?
    • Malaysian citizenship
    • Master, Bachelor, Diploma level graduates from any University, College or Higher Learning Institutions in Malaysia
    • Unemployed from 2019 graduates and 2022 graduates (before the program starts)
    • Own or have access to a laptop or PC
    • Has not registered for any other prior PENJANA program/initiative
    • Proficient in English / Bahasa Malaysia
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Passionate in starting your own business
  4. How long is this program?
    This 4-week full-time program starts off with digital skills training, followed by professional skills development and guided mentorship from redONE Head of Digital Store.
  5. Is there any payment required to participate in this program?
    No, this program is free of charge.
  6. Will I receive a certificate?
    Yes! If you successfully pass this program, you will receive a certification of Professional Certificate in Digital Business Development issued by UTMSPACE.
  7. How will this program be delivered?
    The program will be delivered completely online. Participants are required to have a stable internet connection and own or have access to a laptop or PC in order to attend the classes and complete the coursework.

    There are 4 cohorts for this program. The dates are as follows:
    • 1st Cohort – 31st October 2022
    • 2nd Cohort – 5th December 2022

  9. When can I know if my application is successful?
    After submitting your application, you’ll receive confirmation of your submission and eligibility. Subsequently, we will schedule an interview session with our recruitment team. We’ll notify successful applicants via email.
