{"id":53113,"date":"2024-09-11T14:08:44","date_gmt":"2024-09-11T06:08:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.redonemobile.com.my\/?post_type=news&#038;p=53113"},"modified":"2024-10-22T11:42:05","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T03:42:05","slug":"redone-mobile-champions-eco-roots-environmental-preservation-initiative-with-frim","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.redonemobile.com.my\/en\/news\/redone-mobile-champions-eco-roots-environmental-preservation-initiative-with-frim\/","title":{"rendered":"red<span style=\"color: red;\">ONE<\/span> Mobile Champions \u2018Eco-Roots\u2019 Environmental Preservation Initiative with FRIM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Kepong<\/strong> \u2013 red<span style=\"color: red;\">ONE<\/span> Mobile, Malaysia&#8217;s largest Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), has once again demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) by initiating a significant environmental awareness program, called &#8216;Eco-Roots Initiative&#8217; at the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), to engage in activities that underscore the importance of environmental conservation.<\/p>\n<p>The event witnessed a group of 40 enthusiastic red<span style=\"color: red;\">ONE<\/span> Mobile employees, along with their family members and staff from FRIM, volunteering for this impactful initiative, led by Caren Lwee, the company\u2019s Head of Corporate Governance and Risk.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival at FRIM, the volunteers were warmly welcomed by the Chairperson of FRIM&#8217;s Main Nursery Branch Head, Dr. Siti Salwana Hashim who delivered an introductory presentation on FRIM and a briefing on the activity for the day which included the correct method of producing quality seedlings through soil preparation and planting. The presentation highlighted the crucial role FRIM plays in preserving Malaysia&#8217;s rich biodiversity and the importance of public involvement in sustaining these efforts. Volunteers then carried out a &#8216;hands-on&#8217; activity of planting Jambu Bol (\ud835\ude1a\ud835\ude3a\ud835\ude3b\ud835\ude3a\ud835\ude28\ud835\ude2a\ud835\ude36\ud835\ude2e \ud835\ude2e\ud835\ude22\ud835\ude2d\ud835\ude22\ud835\ude24\ud835\ude24\ud835\ude26\ud835\ude2f\ud835\ude34\ud835\ude26) and Rhu Bukit (\ud835\ude0e\ud835\ude3a\ud835\ude2e\ud835\ude2f\ud835\ude30\ud835\ude34\ud835\ude35\ud835\ude30\ud835\ude2e\ud835\ude22 \ud835\ude34\ud835\ude36\ud835\ude2e\ud835\ude22\ud835\ude35\ud835\ude33\ud835\ude22\ud835\ude2f\ud835\ude36\ud835\ude2e) saplings at the main nursery. The program culminated with a guided tour of the nature trail at FRIM, providing the volunteers an opportunity to discover a variety of unique species of plants in the forest.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27630 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.redonemobile.com.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/FRIM-Seedling-activity.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1620\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The &#8216;Eco-Roots Initiative&#8217; was aimed at fostering a culture of sustainability within the organization and across the wider community, with a focus on reforestation and ecosystem restoration. Beyond engaging its employees in hands-on conservation efforts, another key objective of this CSR activity is to educate the public on the importance of protecting the environment. By raising awareness and sharing knowledge, red<span style=\"color: red;\">ONE<\/span> Mobile seeks to inspire collective action towards a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p>Ameen Amaendran, red<span style=\"color: red;\">ONE<\/span> Mobile Chief Executive Officer expressed his appreciation towards FRIM for hosting the event and emphasized the importance of such efforts in cultivating a sense of responsibility towards the environment. &#8220;Our participation in the &#8216;Eco-Roots Initiative&#8217; is a reflection of red<span style=\"color: red;\">ONE<\/span> Mobile&#8217;s dedication to making a positive impact on our environment.
