redONE Mobile Continues Community Outreach Through Annual Qurban Programme in East Coast and Sabah

redONE Mobile, community telco, through its charitable arm Yayasan redONE, continued its long-term commitment to supporting local communities through its annual Qurban programme held in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha. The programme took place in Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan and Sabah from 27 to 30 May.

Since its introduction in 2014, the programme named Barakah Korban this year is one of redONE Mobile’s key annual community initiatives, aimed at strengthening ties with communities across various states.

More than just a corporate social responsibility initiative, the Barakah Korban programme also united redONE Mobile employees and business partners, mosque committee members and local residents from various backgrounds to work hand in hand, strengthening relationships and reinforcing the spirit of gotong-royong that remains deeply rooted in the community culture. The programme involved the slaughtering, preparation and distribution of qurban meat to those in need.

Group Chief Executive Officer of redONE Mobile, Farid Yunus said the Barakah Korban programme reflects the company’s continuous efforts to stay close to the communities that have long been the backbone of the brand’s growth.

“For us, qurban is not only about sacrifice, but also sincerity, empathy and the spirit of togetherness. Programmes like this give us the opportunity to be on the ground and connect with communities that have continuously supported and contributed to the growth of redONE Mobile over the years.

“As a community telco, we believe strong relationships with the community should be built consistently and not only during certain occasions. Through the Barakah Korban programme, we hope to continue sharing blessings while strengthening ties with communities across the country,” he said.

The Qurban programme was carried out at the following locations:

Pahang

  • Mini Market Miera, Felda Kota Gelanggi 2, Jerantut — 28 May 2026

Beyond the Barakah Korban Programme, redONE Mobile continues to carry out various community initiatives throughout the year through Yayasan redONE to support those in need and strengthen ties with local communities.

Earlier during Ramadan this year, redONE Mobile implemented several community initiatives nationwide, including through its annual Colours of Ramadan programme, in support of various underserved groups such as the homeless community in Kuala Lumpur, underprivileged families and local communities. For this year’s edition, the programme focused on the welfare of orphans through contributions of learning essentials as well as improvements to learning facilities at Pusat Jagaan Mesra As Salam in Bandar Bukit Puchong.

In its efforts to empower communities and support small local businesses, redONE Mobile also continued its Ronda Bazaar Ramadan initiative across several states including the Klang Valley, Melaka, Perak, Kelantan, Sabah and Sarawak to help increase the visibility of local micro traders at Ramadan bazaars.

At the same time, the redINFAQ initiative was further expanded this year through a collaboration with 12 popular food KOLs on TikTok to help increase the visibility of selected traders at Ramadan bazaars, while also channelling food contributions to those in need across several states including Kedah, Perlis, Kuala Lumpur, Terengganu, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak.

In addition, redONE Mobile also collaborated with e-hailing and p-hailing associations in Sungai Petani, as well as Jabatan Perpaduan Negara dan Integrasi Nasional Kota Setar, to distribute bubur lambuk to local communities.

Collectively, these initiatives reflect redONE Mobile’s ongoing commitment to fostering the spirit of togetherness, supporting local communities and ensuring assistance and meaningful benefits continue to reach more people consistently.
