redONE Mobile, Malaysia’s largest Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), continues its commitment to empowering communities through the implementation of its Qurban Program in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration. This program, initiated in 2014, is carried out at selected locations in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and for the first time, in Sabah from 6 to 9 June 2025.
Sabah’s inclusion in this year’s program reflects redONE Mobile’s effort to expand its corporate social responsibility initiatives to rural areas in East Malaysia, opening a new chapter in reaching out to more communities in need.
Two cows were allocated for each state, signifying redONE Mobile’s support in celebrating Aidiladha, a meaningful occasion that honours faith, gratitude and the spirit of sharing with local communities while also strengthening bonds with its business partners in selected areas.
This year’s Qurban locations include:
- Masjid Al-Taqwa Mukim Pulau, Kubang Kerian, Kelantan – 7 June
- Masjid Mukim Pemanok, Machang, Kelantan – 7 June
- Masjid Tengku Tengah Zaharah (Masjid Terapung), Kuala Ibai, Terengganu – 7 June
- Masjid Felda Kerteh 6, Terengganu – 8 June
- Masjid Ubudiyah, Kg Paya Luas, Temerloh, Pahang – 9 June
- Masjid Lama, Pematang Badak, Kuantan, Pahang – 7 June
- Masjid Nurul Iman, Kg Kawang Papar, Sabah – 8 June
The program was joined by redONE Mobile staff, business partners, committee members from the mosques and local residents who worked hand in hand in the slaughtering, preparation and distribution of Qurban meat to those in need.
redONE Mobile CEO, Ameen Amaendran, said, “Qurban teaches us the meaning of sacrifice, sincerity, and compassion towards those in need. Through this program, redONE Mobile aims to embody that spirit through action, by sharing our blessings and strengthening relationships with the communities and partners who continually support us. We are honored to continue this initiative and, for the first time, extend it to Sabah as a small step in our ongoing efforts to reach communities across the country.”
In addition to the Qurban program, redONE Mobile, through its charitable arm, Yayasan redONE, has undertaken and continues to implement a variety of initiatives to support underserved communities. Earlier this year, the company collaborated with Kechara Soup Kitchen to distribute food to the homeless in Kuala Lumpur. During Ramadan, through the Colours of Ramadan (COR) program, redONE Mobile provided food aid and support to underserved communities and launched the ‘Recycle and Reconnect’ e-waste recycling campaign to encourage proper electronic waste disposal, with proceeds from recycling channeled back to the community. This ongoing campaign is in collaboration with Sinar Harian as media partner and ERTH as the official e-waste collector.
The redINFAQ campaign during Ramadan, involving social media influencers, also helped the underprivileged and promoted small businesses at selected Ramadan bazaars in Selangor, Sabah, and Kelantan. The Ronda Bazar Ramadan initiative was also launched to directly support local businesses in Selangor, Penang, Kelantan, Sabah, and Sarawak.
redONE Mobile believes that with continued support and close collaboration with the community, even the smallest efforts can create significant, positive impact in the lives of those in need.
